Yamayaki is a tradition in Japan. Every year in fourth Saturday of January, mount Wakakusa of Nara prefecture is ceremonially burnt. Tradition is believed to have started from a dispute between two temples. Another story is that this tradition started as part of pest control in the area. Its a beautiful view in the evening.
