Karuizawa is a beautiful place in Nagano ken, known as summer resort of Tokyo. Autumn colours are also an attraction here. Kumota pond (kumobaike) is one of the colourful destinations in Karuizawa. Pond is so beautiful when covered in autumn colours that we may feel like we are seeing a canvas of an artist. Another similar location is Usui pass observation deck from where you can see all mountains around Karuizawa in autumn colours. Lot of married couples, even from China and Korea, come and photo shoot in these locations.
There is one pleasant surprise for Indians. Japan have dedicated a memorial for Rabindranath Tagore in Usui pass observation deck for his visit to Japan and his speech on prayer in Japan Women's university. Something that every Indian can be proud of.
