Parippu vada is a very popular snack in Kerala and probably in other southern states of India. We could find a very similar snack in Japan online Indian store, Baticrom, called Piaju. Taste is very similar to Parippu vada though it seems to be a snack from Bangladesh with same ingredients as that of Kerala parippu vada. Below is the link to Piaju in Baticrom website:-
