Tokyo Motor show is one of the big five motor shows in the world and 2019 show was held in end of Oct-2019. Tokyo big sight was the location and 2,000 JPY was the entry fee. Site was adorned with a lot of fantasy electronics lighting and technologies. Show attracted a lot of visitors from across Japan and even from foreign countries. For Automobile lovers, these kind of shows are like places of ultimate pleasure.
We started with Truck shows where FUSO, ISUZU, HINO, UD TRUCKS etc were putting up great shows. The day was specially crowded and we could not go into details of all vehicles. But we tried getting into driver`s cabin of FUSO.
Lots of concepts and utility vehicles were exhibited in next hall. SUBARU had a special stage for their LEVORG concept and a crowd pulling stage for VIZIV ADRENALINE. They even had a curtain raiser kind of event for LEVORG which attracted attention of all in the hall.
Toyota had a huge space reserved and grabbed attention of a large crowd. Crowd was welcomed by a robot in the entrance. Some of the lines and counters were temporarily stopped due to rush. Whole concept was based on future city. Toyota filled the walls and floors with animations and movies of their future city concept. Toyota had an interesting concept of a single cell vehicle for one's personal use, based on autonomous driving.
Personal Multi-Compact Vehicle, PMCV, was another attraction from Toyota which had an interior layout like a room.
DAIHATSU had a decent stall and lots of people were interested in their small segment cars.
Nissan presented a specially designed Ambulance for emergency transportation of patients in critical situation.
Nano Cellulose Vehicle, NCV, project was another attraction for Automobile enthusiasts. This project targets to use cellulose nanofibre material, made of plants and other organic raw materials, to produce automobile parts.
There were a lot more in the show such as super cars, super bikes. But time didn't permit me to cover all those.
Indeed this show is worth watching for all Automobile enthusiasts across the world.
